Whats Really Going On

Lets talk about the fact that there is a high incidence of miscarriages at the Eureka Schools, about health problems or related topics in reference to so many folks telling me that there is a problem and has been for a VERY long time.

I'm a transplant but have been here almost 4 years and am wondering why so many school employees have children with significant health issues. I've heard that there have been some types of health investigations but what has come of that??

Diane,
I am not sure what you are talking about specifically but from what I get, it seems that this would just be a prime case of folks taking a government job because of the benefits.

I'm perhaps the other end of the spectrum from you in that I lived in Eureka in the 80s... maybe between the two of us we can put together a full picture-

the Thing is, there are a lot of reported cases of health issues with folks who work at the school. I did not hear the stories in the 80's but than again in the 80's I may not have been around the folks in the know on that topic. I did hear in the 90's and still hear today about health issues. It is the kind of thing you only hear word or mouth, folks don't like to talk about being sick. I know folks at the whitefish hospital that have told me stories about this. I am not claiming that the water is bad, or that there is any particular cause I am saying that enough people over the last 15 years have told me stories about it that it does make me take a second look. We need to care about what is happening to folk in our "Neck of the Woods" if you find this forum and have heard the stories or know anyone that has had a strange illness and worked at the school, please post your thoughts here and maybe we can get to the bottom of this.

Not only is it employees of the school, from what I have seen, but there are a lot of people that have graduated from LCHS that now have children with disabilities. I am one of them. And I'm not saying that I'm blaming the school per se, but I also have siblings and many friends that have children with disabilities, and we all went to school here for many years. We have had many discussions about it. It just makes you raise an eyebrow. ???

It certainly does make us raise an eyebrow. Eureka is a bit slow to the problem here and doing any real studies to see what is really going on. It has been a VERY long time that stories on this issue have been circulating. When were you in school in Eureka, I graduated LCH in 1989.
